What has happened to all that "free" time???

I have been neglecting my blog, but not because I don't want to blog...I just have a family that "needs" me every free second I have.  LOL

Brendan has grown up SOOOO much lately.  He is now 4 months old (as of this week) and acts more like a 6 month old.  :)  He eats solids now and LOVES them!  He has also realized that he can "power nap" instead of sleeping for longer naps.  He loves to play with his sister, so napping cuts into that play time.

We just had a 4 day weekend for Easter.  Boy, did I need that break!  Only 3 1/2 weeks left before summer.  It's going to go by fast.

Teah and Brendan got a visit from the Easter bunny on Sunday.  He brought both kids sleeping bags that roll up into a stuffed animal.  The favorite toy, however, is Brendan's singing chick.  He sings "Bird is the Word". (The song will be permanently stuck in my head FOR-EV-ER!)  I am glad that they both can share it and enjoy it.  :)
Here are just a few pictures from the past month. (March/April):

What a week!!!

These last couple of weeks have just flown by.  I have officially started back to work.  Everyone keeps asking how it's been, "going back".  I have decided that it's like riding a bike.  You don't ever forget how to do it, once you've learned.
We have also been battling sickness this last week.  Teah started it off with a cold/fever of some sort last Friday.  She was kind enough to share it with the rest of us.  So Brendan has had a first this week...his first fever.  :(  It makes me sad to think he's only 10 weeks old and has already had to be exposed to Tylenol.  Oh well.  It will only be one of many fevers, I'm afraid.

Brendan is really enjoying sitting up and looking at the world these days.  This picture was taken in his room while Rick installed his new carpet.  The new carpet looks fantastic!  It's very plush.  Brendan really enjoyed all the noise that went along with the installation, too.  I think it's because he's used to all of the noise that Teah makes on a daily basis!  LOL

Brendan's Baby Shower

Yesterday we went to Brendan's baby shower.  It was phenominal!  We have some pretty amazing friends that arranged this beautiful gathering.  It was held at Kim's house and was SO well organized.  They had every detail planned out beautifully, including activities for Teah to do to keep her occupied and not jealous.  Kim's house has a perfect hallway "made" for bowling, so Teah, Will, and Kendra bowled quite a bit and loved it!  Kim is so brave for letting three children "have at it".  LOL

Muriel made the wonderful cupcakes.  I took pictures, but they don't do them justice.  They were FANTASTIC!  I wish my cupcakes were half as moist as hers!  There were even cheesecake cupcakes (Rick's favorite).

After getting home, I wanted to take a picture of all of the presents together, so that someday I can show Brendan how much people cared.  (I also love to look back at pics, so it's as much for me....)

One last picture....the pretty balloons and flowers from the shower.  :)  Again, thanks to everyone!  It was such a special day for "The Meyer 4"  (This is now what I have started to refer to our family as....hehehe)

Teah's current favorite activities

One of Teah's current obsessions is playing anything "baby".  She walked around Saturday wearing an infant carrier while I had Brendan in his sling carrier.  She was so proud of herself!

The other obsession she has right now is playing video games with her daddy.  They have been playing "Epic Mickey" together for about 2 weeks now.  Every night after dinner, she asks if they can play.  This picture is of her playing Wii.  I am pretty sure that Rick is thrilled that somebody shares his love of video games.  I like that they spend time together.

I guess it's time...

So, I have decided it's time that I enter into the world of blogging.  I have been watching a few of my friends' blogs over the past few months and have been inspired.  I LOVE being able to view their blogs simply for the sake of knowing what's happening in their lives.  I also LOVE the pictures! What better way to "journal" for my kids.  This will be a great way to force myself into taking LOTS of pictures of them AND getting them uploaded so everybody else can see them.

Teah just turned 4 last month and Brendan is now 6 weeks old.  I will have to return back to work next week and am very sad to leave my little guy.  I have enjoyed my time with both of my kiddos SO much.  I am glad that summer is only a few months away and I will be able to spend all of my days with them again.
